Tour Highlights:
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Tirana International Airport. Albania’s capital is a city of fascinating contrasts: from the grand Skanderbeg Square to the vibrant, pastel-colored streets of the Blloku district. After a panoramic city tour, we conclude the day with a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant, offering your first taste of Albania’s legendary hospitality.
Overnight: Tirana
We drive to Berat, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the Balkans. We explore the massive hilltop fortress—still inhabited today—and the Onufri Museum, which houses masterpieces of 16th-century iconography. Walking through the Mangalem and Gorica quarters feels like stepping back in time. For wine enthusiasts, an optional tasting at a local winery provides the perfect end to the afternoon.
Overnight: Berat
The journey continues toward the coast, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet. After a stop in the historic city of Vlorë, we ascend the Llogara Pass. From this high mountain divide, the view of the Albanian Riviera unfolding below is simply cinematic. We descend via dramatic serpentines toward the turquoise horizon.
Overnight: Vlorë or Sarandë
Today is dedicated to the sapphire waters of the Ionian. We visit the mysterious Porto Palermo Castle, a seaside fortress built by Ali Pasha Tepelena. You will have free time to relax at Gjipe Beach, one of Albania’s most stunning “hidden” bays, accessible only by foot or boat, where the canyon meets the sea.
Overnight: Sarandë
We discover Butrint (UNESCO), a sprawling archaeological park where Greek, Roman, and Venetian ruins sit nestled in a lush woodland lagoon. After exploring the ancient amphitheater and basilicas, we spend a relaxing afternoon on the white sands of Ksamil, famous for its turquoise islands and crystal-clear shallows.
Overnight: Sarandë
A short, scenic ferry ride across the strait brings us to the Greek island of Corfu. We spend the day in Corfu Old Town (UNESCO), wandering through its elegant Venetian alleys, visiting the Old Fortress, and strolling along the famous Liston Promenade. After a day of Greek café culture and shopping, we return to Sarandë by evening.
Overnight: Sarandë
We leave the coast for the magical Blue Eye, a deep underwater spring of hypnotic blue. We then continue to the “City of Stone,” Gjirokastër (UNESCO), to explore its imposing castle and the labyrinthine Old Bazaar. In the afternoon, we drive through the spectacular mountain scenery toward the “Paris of Albania,” the city of Korçë.
Overnight: Korçë
After visiting the old bazaar of Korçë, we cross into North Macedonia to reach Ohrid. We explore its historic Old Bazaar and the iconic Church of St. John at Kaneo, which sits on a cliff overlooking the lake. After a traditional lunch by the water, we return to the serene shores of Pogradec for the night.
Overnight: Pogradec
Enjoy a quiet morning in Pogradec along the shores of Lake Ohrid before we return to Tirana. The afternoon is yours to revisit favorite spots in the capital, explore the Bunk’Art museum, or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Artificial Lake park.

We drive to Krujë, the historic stronghold of Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg. After exploring the castle and the antique bazaar, we continue north to Shkodër. We visit Rozafa Castle, perched on a hill with sweeping views over Lake Shkodra and the surrounding mountain ranges.
Overnight: Shkodër
A cross-border excursion brings us to the Montenegrin coast. We explore the medieval Old Town of Budva, famous for its narrow streets, ancient citadel, and vibrant seaside promenade. After free time for lunch and a walk along the Adriatic shore, we return to Shkodër for our final evening.
